# API keys

## Overview

API keys are helpful for external systems to access Instruqt. For example, an CI/CD system that automatically tests tracks. API keys are generated using the web UI.

1. Click **Team settings** → **API keys**.
2. Click **Generate API Key**.
3. Click **Copy to clipboard**.
