# Users report

The Users report shows activity from the user's perspective – one row per person, aggregated across all their plays. Use it to answer "who are my users and how are they doing?", where the Sessions report answers "what happened in each individual play?".

To open it, go to **Reporting** in the left navigation and select **Users**.

### The table

Each row is one user. The columns:

**Plays** – how many plays this person finished in the selected period, counting every replay separately. Like everywhere in reporting, plays still in progress appear once they end.

**Completion** – of the *different tracks* they played, the share they finished at least once. This is track-based: replaying a track they already completed doesn't change it, and an unfinished retry of a completed track doesn't lower it. (Note the contrast with the [Track activity metrics](https://docs.instruqt.com/reporting/track-activity-metrics#the-metrics): Completion rate there is play-based.)

**Avg. Progress** – all the challenges they completed divided by all the challenges across all their plays, pooled together. Longer tracks weigh more heavily, and abandoned plays pull it down.

**Avg. Time spent** – the average length of one play, measured as clock time from the play's start to its last activity. Paused time in the middle of a play is included.

**Last active** – when their latest play ended. This can be later than when they actually stopped working (for example, if the play ran until its time limit).

Filters at the top narrow the list: date range, play type, tracks, invites, pages, users, and tags/groups. The **Include anonymous** toggle controls whether anonymous users appear in the list – useful when embeds or open invites generate many anonymous accounts.

### User and Play details

Click a user to open their **Play details panel**: a summary based on your current filters (plays, completion, average progress, average time spent – same formulas as the table columns) and the list of their individual plays – each showing the track, where the play came from, time spent, and last activity.

### Exporting

**Download CSV** exports the users matching your current filters.
